Bogdan Rymanowski
Journalist and interviewer; Polish Journalist of the Year 2008
Bogdan Rymanowski has developed political interviewing and biographical conversation, receiving Poland's Journalist of the Year title in 2008 through a vote by newsrooms. In “Ubek”, he addressed the difficult subject of a former security service officer's responsibility and reckoning with harm inflicted on others. In “Dopaść Morawieckiego”, he reconstructed Kornel Morawiecki's life through interviews, recollections and documents, examining a figure who attracted sharply contrasting assessments. His work returns to questions about the reliability of memory, the role of witnesses and the possibility of examining difficult history through conversations with its participants.
