Marina Walker Guevara
Executive editor, Pulitzer Center
Marina Walker Guevara coordinated international reporting collaborations for the Panama Papers and Paradise Papers, projects built on enormous collections of leaked financial records. Hundreds of journalists jointly examined offshore companies, business connections and mechanisms for concealing wealth, rather than conducting disconnected investigations within individual countries. Her own reporting has also addressed environmental degradation linked to multinational businesses and the offshore economy, while her collaborative work includes a shared 2017 Pulitzer Prize. At the Pulitzer Center, she continues developing a model that connects reporters, data expertise and technology around subjects requiring sustained investigation and an international perspective.
