North Korean-born reporter and former Chosun Ilbo journalist
After escaping North Korea, Kim Myong Song became a reporter for South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo. He covered North Korean affairs and inter-Korean relations. In 2018, South Korea’s Unification Ministry excluded him from the press pool covering inter-Korean talks.
Ambassador TRUTH is TRUTH Magazine’s honorary distinction for journalists, independent creators and educators, recognising rigorous verification, context and responsibility for published work. Submissions and voting run from 1 November 2026 to 12 January 2027. Recipients are announced on 15 January 2027.
