Serbian investigative journalist and KRIK co-founder

Stevan Dojčinović reports on connections between political power, business and organised crime. He co-founded the investigative newsroom KRIK in Belgrade. In an investigation he co-authored with Dragana Pećo, the reporters examined court files and medical certificates used to justify a defendant’s absence from hearings. KRIK received an EU investigative journalism award in Serbia for the story. Dojčinović received an individual Knight International Journalism Award in 2019. The newsroom’s work also includes a database of politicians’ assets, recognised with a Data Journalism Award in 2017.
