BEFORE PUBLICATION

In the next issue.

A first look at the stories, conversations and ideas we are working on.

A word from the editor-in-chief

Responsibility
begins with questions.

“I don’t want TRUTH to tell readers what to think. I want it to give them the facts and context they need to think for themselves.”

As editor-in-chief, I make sure that every strong statement is backed by sources and that every conclusion comes with an honest account of how it was reached. We examine evidence that supports an argument as well as evidence that complicates it. Credibility begins where a convenient narrative ends.

We want to report on the world without oversimplifying it and with the courage to ask difficult questions. We make room for different perspectives while remaining accountable for the facts. TRUTH aims to help readers see more, understand more deeply and make their own informed decisions.

Marcel KwaterEditor-in-chief of TRUTH Magazine
A word from our founder and publisher

Why
TRUTH.

“In a world full of information, our task is to ask questions, verify sources and make room for facts, context and responsible dialogue.”

TRUTH Magazine was founded on the belief that trustworthy journalism takes time, courage and a willingness to hear different perspectives. Each issue examines the forces, decisions and people shaping our societies—from politics and security to technology, science and culture.

We do not promise easy answers to complex questions. We verify sources, distinguish findings from opinion and look for context. We want TRUTH Magazine to help readers draw their own conclusions and take part in informed debate.

02 / OUR PRINCIPLES
Editorial policy

Facts. Context. Accountability.

TRUTH Magazine publishes investigations, interviews, analysis and commentary. We aim to present issues accurately, distinguish facts from opinion and treat the people in our stories with respect.

01

We verify information

Before publication, we check key claims against available documents, reliable sources and accounts. If we cannot independently confirm important information, we make that clear to readers.

02

We provide sources and context

We identify sources where it is safe and responsible to do so. We distinguish findings, facts, analysis and opinion, and include the information readers need to understand an issue.

03

We offer a right of reply

For stories that include serious allegations, we seek a response from the people or institutions concerned and present it fairly and in context.

04

We protect editorial independence

The newsroom makes decisions about topics, content and conclusions. Partnerships, funding or author relationships that may affect how a story is understood should be disclosed.

05

We use AI responsibly

AI tools may assist with technical tasks and organising material. They do not replace human verification. The newsroom is responsible for published content and checks facts, quotations and visual materials. We tell readers when AI has a significant role in the content or imagery.

06

We correct errors transparently

If a story contains an error, we correct it promptly. Significant changes are accompanied by a correction note and update date. We do not silently alter the meaning of published work.

07

We distinguish editorial content from promotion

We label advertising and partner content so it cannot be mistaken for editorial work. A partnership does not influence the newsroom’s independent conclusions.
